Greetings and welcome to Gazastock 08. We’re hugely sorry if you didn’t manage to get tickets this year.  Demand has been completely overwhelming and we sold out within 48 hours of them going on sale. Huge thanks to the boys and girls at Gaza Timber for abandoning their business for several days whilst being snowed under taking phone calls and ticket money. It’s worth making the point here that we don’t operate a reservation system. Tickets are always sold on a first come first served basis. The best way to stay informed is to send an email to supporters@gazastock.co.uk and we’ll ping you an email the day before they go on sale.  Don’t forget to check your spam filters as we’ve had a few reports of our emails going into the junk folder. Perish the thought!

This year’s annual shenanigans will be our eighth and since 2001 we’ve raised more than £74,000 for Hospice in the Weald (www.hospiceintheweald.org.uk). Gazastock is a homemade festival run entirely by volunteers, all of whom, along with the performers give freely of their time and talents. Huge thanks to them all and to all the organisations that support the festival. And an especially big thanks to our hosts, the illustrious and hugely generous Gaza Timber.

We’ve got more than 25 bands and performers set to delight and entertain you this year. There are some familiar faces, some new faces and lots of bright young things performing scorching indie, driving rhythm & blues, manic punk, grooving funk, hot jazz (both light and dark varieties), rock steady ska, supercharged alt rock, novelty rock (wassat? Plus there’s the Licensed Bar, a brand new Tea Tent, Kids Tent, Healing Area, yummy food and drink, together with all the usual goodies like T-shirts (available in two exclusive designs this year) CDs, souvenir programmes and the redoubtable Auction.
